Looking to join a choir this fall? Here’s a roundup of BCCF member choirs who will be auditioning new singers in the next few weeks!

This list is user-submitted and ever-growing, with new choirs being added all the time. If you would like your choir’s audition dates to be listed here, email us at communications@bcchoralfed.com.

SingYourJoy Young Adult Chorus (Victoria)
SYJ is non-auditioned but will welcome new and returning singers for a three-week period: September 11/18/25. Check out their Facebook event page for all the details!

Duncan Choral Society (Duncan)
This non-auditioned SATB choir is accepting new members September 11, 18 and 25. Check their website for details.

Vancouver Children’s Choir (Vancouver)
Ongoing auditions are being held for boys 8-12 and girls 8-16! Visit their website for more information.

Choralation A Cappella (Vancouver)
Choralation is holding ongoing auditions for new members to join a fun, free, self-directed a cappella ensemble. Sopranos are especially needed, but all voices are encouraged.

Coquitlam Celebration Choir (Coquitlam)
The ensemble is accepting new members for all voice types. Our fall season starts on Tues Sept 5 at St. Lawrence Church in Coquitlam. More information available here.

Joyful Voice Community Choir (Vancouver)
New members are welcome to this non-auditioned, inclusive community choir. Rehearsals begin Sept 11, 6pm at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Jervis St, Vancouver. See website for details.

Prince George Cantata Singers (Prince George)
The choir will be taking in new members starting September 6 (or any Wednesday in September) at St. Michael’s Anglican Church Hall, 7 pm.

Via Choralis (Saanich)
Via Choralis is currently holding auditions for singers of all voices to sing in the 2017-18 season, particularly people who enjoy singing classical repertoire from all periods, and who have some previous choral experience. Music reading skills are an asset but not obligatory.

Pacific Edge Chorus (Victoria)
The ensemble is offering a free 6 week a cappella experience in four-part harmony for female singers. Starting Tuesday, Sept. 12, receive free voice lessons with music and learning tracks for two songs. Email cogbass@gmail.com to RSVP or click here for further information.

Langley Community Chorus (Langley)
The Langley Community Chorus is set to begin rehearsals for their upcoming season on Sept 6 and are seeking male tenors who love to sing. This is a non auditioned choir. If you are interested, please contact: membership@langleychorus.org.

Sooke Philharmonic Chorus (Victoria)
The Sooke Philharmonic Chorus is currently recruiting singers of all voices. They are looking for people who enjoy singing choral-orchestral repertoire from all periods, and who have some previous choral experience. Music reading skills are an asset but not obligatory.

British Columbia Girls Choir (Metro Vancouver)
Concerts, camp, community outreach performances, and two tours will highlight the season. Saturday rehearsals in Coquitlam. Visit www.bcgirlschoir.org to book an audition or free trail rehearsal.

Zephyra Women’s Choir (Metro Vancouver)
Now accepting new members for a balanced 24 voice ensemble! Esteemed director, Fiona Blackburn, will lead some of the most glorious music ever written for the female voice. Monday evening rehearsals take place in Coquitlam.

Jubilate Vocal Ensemble (Vancouver)
Jubilate is looking for experienced choral singers (especially tenors) for their 2017/18 season. Music reading is a must. Auditions take place August 28.

Grace Community Choir (Burnaby)
New members are welcome for this non-auditioned ensemble! First practice starts Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, offering the chance to sing with others and enjoy learning new music with others in the community.

Newcombe Singers (Victoria)
The choir offers a free trial period of three rehearsals in September (and January) so that prospective choristers can size up the group and gauge their own aptitude for the repertoire. Click here for more information.

BC Kodály Choir (South Surrey/White Rock)

Marcus Mosely Chorale (Vancouver)
The Marcus Mosely Chorale is accepting new members this fall. Visit the choir’s website for more information and a sign-up form.

PALS Chorus (Vancouver)
This 55+ mixed chorus launches its 2017 fall season on Monday, September 11th and is looking for new members! Click here for more information.

St. James’ Choir (Vancouver)
Interested in singing sacred choral music in resonant acoustics? Consider the St. James’ Anglican Church choir! The group is particularly looking for altos, though welcome sopranos, tenors, basses with equal warmth. North Shore Chorus (North Vancouver)
Rehearsals resume Sept. 6 and space is available for all voices, particularly tenors. The group will have a display table at Parkgate Community Day on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 11am to 2pm.

Vancouver Academy of Music (Vancouver)
VAM’s Mary Buckerfield White Choral Program is holding auditions for all four of its ensembles (ages 8-adult, all levels). The next audition date is Aug. 29, 2017. For more info, check out their website or sign up for an audition here.

Laudate Singers (North Vancouver)
Advanced singers are encouraged to be in touch to arrange an audition for the choir’s 2017-2018 season. Please see www.laudatesingers.com for more information. Auditions are arranged on an individual basis.

Capilano University Festival Chorus (North Vancouver)
Sing alongside music students in this large choir! The 2017-2018 year includes Bach’s Christmas Oratorio in the fall and Haydn, Schubert & Mozart in the spring. An audition is necessary.

Chor Leoni Men’s Choir (Vancouver)
Auditions take place on August 24 at Dunbar Ryerson United Church in Vancouver. Head over to their Eventbrite page for more information.

Vancouver Orpheus Male Voice Choir (Vancouver)
No sight-reading is required. The ensemble is accepting all male voice types, but looking for tenors in particular. For more information, click here.

Avalon Singers (Victoria)

Pacific Showtime Men’s Chorus (South Surrey)
Pacific Showtime Men’s Chorus is looking for new members for the upcoming season. All male voice types are welcome to attend the first rehearsal on Monday, Sept. 11, in Crescent Beach, South Surrey.

Vancouver Chamber Choir (Vancouver)
VCC is seeking professional-level singers and substitute/occasional singers. All voices (SATB) are invited to audition on Sat, Sept 9 & Sat, Sept 23.

Pacifica Singers (Vancouver)
All voices (SATB) are invited to audition on Tues, Sept 5 & Tues, Sept 12 (evenings). Contact incoming director Fiona Blackburn for an appointment.

High Spirits Choir (Vancouver)
The ensemble is looking for tenors especially, with a special rate of $50 for the Fall term. Click here for more information.

Victoria Male Voice Choir (Victoria)
A choir open house will take place at 7 pm on Tuesday September 12 for those men who would like to give choir a try. More in the Classifieds section!

Richmond Chorus (Richmond)
Heading into its 2017/18 season, the choir has openings for altos, tenors and basses. For more information, check www.roca.ca.

Vancouver CanSing (Vancouver)
Auditions for Level 4 CHORthemo will take place on August 29 – and there are several other CanSing choirs for ages 5 to adult. Full details at www.cansing.ca.

Pacific Spirit Children’s Choir (West Vancouver)
The Pacific Spirit Children’s Choir will be starting a new Youth Choir in September of 2017, and are on the hunt for singers from grades 8­-12!

Sooke Community Choir (Victoria)

Gotta Sing! (Vancouver)
