Celebrating the power of music to promote inclusivity and honour diversity
Something magical happens when people sing and voices blend. Differences no longer matter.
The British Columbia Choral Federation is proud to unveil a new multimedia campaign that aims to present a view of an authentic choral community guided by principles of allyship. The cornerstone of Sing Together! is a composition by multi-talented Nanaimo-based musician Nico Rhodes, recently commissioned by the BCCF. Members and member choirs are encouraged to sing and share this accessible work.
Why Sing Together?
Music empowers, nurtures, heals, unifies, honours, celebrates, tells stories and conveys culture. As singers, choir leaders and administrators, we believe that choral singing is an ideal way to promote inclusivity, celebrate diversity, honour differences, embrace community and foster equity for all – regardless of race, culture or background. Doing so is key to making our world a better place.

Multimedia Resources
With contributions from our BCCF Advocacy Committee, Children’s Committee, and through the fine work of dozens of talented artists from around British Columbia, we offer you this suite of materials: posters, videos, audio tracks lesson plans and scores, and encourage their creative use.
