The Section Coach supports and helps develop the musical skills of the individual members of their section as well as support the section by singing on the risers and at selected events. Two positions are available.

Duties and attendance requirements include:

• Each Wednesday, attend our weekly rehearsals from 7 pm until approx. 10 pm (our rehearsals are between 7:30 pm and 9:45 pm). We do recognize illness, holidays and other events will mean it is not possible to attend every rehearsal.


• Arrange and deliver 1 on 1 coaching to improve the singing ability of individual members.


• During chorus rehearsals, sing on the risers and in seats as a member of your section


• During chorus rehearsals, lead sectional practices to learn new music and polish existing repertoire.


• Sing with the chorus at selected public events (for example, our annual shows in the spring and at Christmas)

Compensation:

$200 per week per coach, with additional compensation for events outside our regular rehearsals.
