Calling all member choirs for participation in our 2026 raffle! Commitments due November 1.
One of the most common questions we get asked is “What can BCCF do for our choir?”. And one of the biggest answers to that question is our annual Raffle. We don’t have money to hand out, but we can help you access it through the Gaming Branch, with all licensing and administration handled on your behalf. Choirs can do their own events, but through the BCCF, we can help you reach much further afield in your sales than you might be able to do alone.
The Raffle operates on a hybrid (physical and online) basis, with the final draw being conducted online. You can tailor your ticket orders to your audience and communities, if they prefer physical paper tickets or online. Online tickets have the additional benefit of coming from a shared pool, meaning that particularly driven choirs are able to sell more tickets even after reaching their initial target!
Tickets are sold at $5 each, or as a “pack” of 5 tickets for $20 (not sold individually.) If you opt for strictly electronic tickets, there’s even less administrative burden; you simply have to monitor and encourage sales.

Please take this letter to your choir board and ask them to give some thought to participating. This is a no-risk, low-labour venture – participating choirs take 60% of the gross, and from the remaining 40% BCCF does all the administration and funds the cash prizes. In truth, this Raffle is more of a fundraiser for choirs than for the BCCF!
For choirs that want it and are prepared for the extra administrative work. We suggest that you initially decide your sales target, consider the preferences of your communities, and order paper tickets that you’re confident you can sell. (Excess tickets can be ‘bought back’ by the choir itself, making this a no-risk fundraiser!)
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’ll be happy to put you in touch with any one of our previous year’s 26 co-ordinators, who can also tell you just how easy and effective the fundraising can be!
The deadline for receipt of contracts is Saturday, November 1, 2025. I look forward to hearing from you by then!
Warmly,
Victor Burke
BCCF Project Manager
