Thank you for your interest! It’s good to feel that we as a choral community can come together and do our part in helping people rebuild.

Please complete and submit the application form below to assist us in planning this series of concerts.

We know that it’s very early in the new season, so it’s up to you as to whether you bring something new (and simple), or something from last season. Our hope is that we’ll have 6-8 choirs at each concert, each doing 10 minutes or so of music; it’s OK if it’s less; let us know if you have more, in case we have fewer choirs and more time. We ask you to list 4 possible pieces, in order of preference – we’ll hope to give people the time to sing them all, but if there are lots of choirs, it may have to be less!

Each concert will be a Parade of Choirs, with singers being the audience for each other. Please get your singers to encourage friends and families to attend.  Admission will be by donation – singers are encouraged to donate too.  Any amount over $20 will be eligible for a receipt for tax purposes.

We will hope to find something that everyone can sing together at the end. At the very least, it will be “O Canada”;  if you have repertoire that you think other singers will know, please list it.  Possibilities might include:

• Buckley/Gibson – This Is My Home
• Halley – Song for Canada
• Dubinsky – We Rise Again
• Tate – We Are One
• Mozart – Dona Nobis Pacem

It’s your decision whether to come in full concert dress or in casual wear. There will be no pre-concert rehearsal – you just come and sing!  The choir call is 15 minutes before each concert to have our singers in place.  There will be a piano and risers. Please indicate on the form whether you need a microphone for a soloist, or anything else.
