The High Mass Choir at St James’ Anglican Church (Gore & Cordova) looks forward to welcoming skilled singers to their numbers in the fall.

The choir is led by Interim Music Director Brigid Coult, who has stepped up to the challenge (set by retired Music Director Gerald Harder) to program a different mass setting each Sunday, with matching motets, hymns and plainsong. It is led by a quartet of paid singers (there is currently an opening for a soprano choral scholar). It’s a wonderful opportunity to hone your reading skills, as well as to sing in a beautiful church with a great acoustic.

Rehearsals are on Thursdays 7-9pm; Sunday call is 9:45am for a 10:30 service. You don’t need to be an Anglican (or even a Christian!) to join your voice to ours in creating beautiful music.
