BCCF World Chorfest 2018: Where to Drink

Any self-respecting singer knows how important it is to stay hydrated! And we know you’ll be drinking plenty of water throughout World Chorfest 2018 weekend, but let’s face it – there’s much more to life than pure H2O. Whether it’s a caffeine jolt you’re after or a nice cold beer, we’ve got you covered with a list of places to visit during your stay in Richmond over the Mother’s Day weekend!

Coffee Shops

You already know what Starbucks tastes like, so why not try something local? The Steveston Coffee Company has been carefully-sourcing and hand-roasting beans since 1997. There are also smaller chains such as Blenz and Waves in the area, too!

Tea Houses

For a sit-down experience, Adorabelle Tea Room is just that: adorable and a hit with young and old alike. For something fo the to-go variety, DavidsTea is a wonderful place to try new tea varieties and to get your supply to take home as well. Or, have you heard about Bubble Tea? These popular little places are all over Richmond and give you an opportunity to try a new drink sensation that you can tell all your friends about!

Craft Breweries

Richmond is home to Fuggles & Warlock Craft Beer, who have made quite a name for themselves for their light and refreshing libations.

Bars & Pubs

A cold beverage and a place sit or a bar to stand at are all we singers really ask for at the end of a long day of rehearsing or performing. Richmond has a number of great watering holes including Ceilis Irish Pub, The Flying Beaver Pub out by the South Terminal of the Vancouver Airport, and many others.

Wine & Cocktail Lounges

For wine and cocktails there are several very nice places to choose from – some close to the core of the city, like Harold’s in the Sheraton Airport Hotel, and some further afield like The Shark Club and the The Catch Kitchen and Bar where you can enjoy a drink and the latest sports on their jumbo screens.
