Salt Spring Island United Church seeks a creative and technically competent person to assume director of music duties, providing choral and keyboard leadership in their faith community.  The congregation places emphasis on engaging worship experiences and is active in social justice initiatives.  The ideal candidate should have keyboard skills, preferably both organ and piano, choral directing skills and experience, along with familiarity with worship as expressed within the United Church of Canada.  The selection committee is interested in applications from individuals who may have experience in some but not necessarily all of these areas.  The individual should also possess good interpersonal skills since they will be directly participating in church life.  Remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience as outlined in the current Royal Canadian College of Organists (RCCO) table of recommended salaries.
