BCCF Raffle postponed to November 5
Updated November 2020:
It’s time to draw names for the BC Choral Federation’s annual raffle (license # 123707) – a joint fundraiser between our organization and participating member choirs. Did you buy a ticket? Sell a ticket? Just curious to see the results unfold in real time? Join us at 11am PDT on November 5 as we stream the draw live on the BCCF’s Facebook page. Click here to watch!
Following the draw, all winners will be contacted by the BCCF Administrator within a week. The list of winners and the choirs selling the winning tickets will be posted on the BCCF website within a week.
Participating choirs will receive an initial payment – a percentage of their total payout – and will need to submit proof (copies of receipts or invoices) showing how their funds will be used. (Some choirs have already done this.) A hard copy must be sent to the BCCF Office – P.O. Box 4397, Terminal Main, Vancouver, BC, V6B 3Z8. An email copy must be sent to the BCCF Project Manager or BCCF Administrator.
Updated April 2020:
Dear Raffle Coordinators,
Thank you for your participation in the BCCF 2020 Raffle! We all need this fundraiser more than ever and —fortunately of all of us— the draw date has been postponed! The Gaming Branch has given us permission to delay the draw ‘til the fall, and we need everyone’s help to keep this postponement as open and transparent as possible.
The new draw date will be Thursday, November 5. We are all of us counting on being able to start a new season in September, giving everyone more than a month to complete Raffle sales and return the stubs and money. Note, though, that the tickets are all marked for a draw on May 30, and we need to let our ticket purchasers know that this date has changed.
We will be sending you coupon-sized “Notice of Change” forms – one for each book of tickets – with the printed information about the changes on it.
- If you have books that are still unsold, please make sure that a “Notice of Change” form is attached to each book, and that the sellers point the information out to the buyers.
- If books have already been sold, we ask that each seller receives a “Notice of Change” form, and makes contact with their buyers to let them know about the changes. This may require that they get their book of stubs back so they can make those contacts. All stubs should have at the minimum a name and a phone number, so the worst-case situation is that someone will have to make 10 phone-calls.
This BCCF fundraiser benefits many choirs across the province, and we need to be compliant with the Gaming Branch’s instructions. They’ve amended our licence to allow this postponement; please help us follow through on their instructions.
This will be the information on the form:
