World Rhythms and Songs
Much of today’s choral music features exciting African, Latin, and Gospel repertoire. In this workshop, you’ll learn rhythms, chants, and songs from African, Afro-Cuban, and Gospel traditions in a lively, hands-on experience that will have you getting in the groove. With a combination of singing and playing percussion instruments you’ll learn syncopations, polyrhythms, and how to use your voice as a rhythm instrument.
